Frank J. Spula, president of the Polish American Congress and the Polish National Alliance took part in discussions at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Chicago, IL, with Senator Richard Durbin and the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America about the war in Ukraine, showcasing the Polish-American community’s support for Ukraine.

At the event, President Spula expressed his support for Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski’s and Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s statements condemning Russian aggression. Sikorski highlighted Russia’s violations of NATO airspace and the need for a unified European defense, while Tusk called the drone incursions an “act of aggression” and emphasized Poland’s commitment to defend its territory. Mr. Spula noted, that Russia cannot be trusted and that history has a way of repeating itself.
