It is with great sadness that we learned about the passing of Mr. Wiesław Nowak, former President of PAC Connecticut Division, on April 15, 2020, not related to COVID19. Mr. Nowak was proud of his Polish heritage. He dedicated his life to promoting and helping Polish community in New Britain. For over 50 years along with his wife, Mr. Nowak was a business owner on Broad Street in New Britain, and owned and ran Nowak Travel Agency, Vistula Gift Shop, and Alexandra’s Ladies Fashions. Mr. Nowak was also a past President of Society of Polish American Travel Agents, a friend of Polish American Veterans, and a member of Haller Post. His many acts of charity and community service to the Polish community were honored at the State Capitol.
Mr. Nowak will be greatly missed by the Polish American community. May he rest in peace.
